Kyle Prouty

Kyle Prouty practices primarily in the area of family law; counseling and guiding clients through the difficulty of divorce, custody, child support, maintenance, and property division matters.  Kyle appreciates his growing family law practice, as each family comes with its own set of unique challengs and interests.  Kyle is also familar with Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR).  Having been trained in family law mediation, Kyle is knowledgeable in assisting clients in resolving their disputes outside of the courtroom.

Kyle started with Cornerstone Family Law as a law clerk during his second year at William Mitchell College of Law (now known as Mitchell Hamline, but Kyle doesn’t like talking about that).  He now works with Cornerstone as an associate because he believes in Cornerstone Family Law’s commitment to providing affordable legal services to those in the Twin Cities and Greater Minnesota.

Kyle holds a B.A. in Political Science and a B.A. in International Relations from St. Cloud State University.  Kyle graduated from William Mitchell College of Law with his J.D. in 2015.  During his time at William Mitchell, Kyle had internships with the William Mitchell Public Health Law Center and the Minnesota Department of Transportation.  His internships and time with Cornerstone Family Law have exposed him to many areas of the law, giving Kyle the ability to sometimes help clients in unexpected ways.

Kyle lives in the Twin Cities, but is originally from the Brainerd Lakes area of Minnesota.  If you want to talk with Kyle about his interests, he loves video games, reddit, craft beer, and telling exaggerated stories about what he does on his days off.
