Sara Green

Sara’s law practice is focused on family law and estate planning.  Sara has experience in the areas of divorce, child support and post decree matters.  The path to resolution of these difficult family law matters may include a joint agreement with the other party, participation in alternative dispute resolution, or ordered by the Court. Sara has learned that by listening carefully to her clients, she can help them determine the best route to resolution of their family law legal issues. 

Sara believes in the importance of estate planning for all individuals and families.  Regardless of an individual’s objectives, she believes it is important to discuss the unique circumstances and related estate planning goals with an attorney who can assist you in planning for the future.  Whether you are concerned about having a health care directive in place, transferring assets to your minor children in the case of your death, or setting up a special needs trust for a loved one, Sara is prepared to assist you in finding the right legal mechanisms to reach your estate planning goals.

Prior to attending law school Sara worked in social services, delivering and administering services to individuals and families in crisis.  Sara received her Bachelor’s degree from Saint Catherine’s College in St. Paul, MN, earning a degree in Philosophy and Applied Ethics.  Sara wrote her thesis paper on issues of Justice in American Democracy.

Sara graduated from William Mitchell College of Law in 2012.  During law school Sara served as a volunteer student attorney in Civil and Community Development Law Clinics.  Sara completed an externship with the Minnesota Department of Human Services legal department.  She then served as law clerk to the Honorable John DeSanto in Minnesota’s Sixth Judicial District .

Outside of work, Sara volunteers with the Sierra Club North Star Chapter.  Sara also enjoys canoeing, hiking, and going to hear live music with her family and friends.
